8th Measles Virus Mini-Symposium
Dear Colleagues,
The eighth mini symposium on Measles Virus will be held at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota July 25-26 (Saturday afternoon and Sunday). This meeting will precede ASV 2026 at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Mayo Rochester and the UMN campuses are about 80 miles away (1.5 hours by car).
The meeting will begin around 1 pm Saturday afternoon to allow for same day arrival from the East Coast; the MSP airport is located about 80 minutes from the Mayo campus by car. The meeting will begin and end with lectures by two invited speakers. Oral and poster presentations on all aspects of the molecular and cell biology of measles and related viruses, their pathogenesis, and their clinical applications in oncolysis, gene delivery and as vaccines are sought. Poster discussions will be during longer pauses coincidental with coffee and lunch. There will be a banquet Saturday evening. The meeting will end Sunday in the afternoon, allowing the participants to attend an early barbecue dinner and travel to Minneapolis for ASV either Sunday evening or Monday morning.
There will be no registration fee. The organizers will offer dinner Saturday, breakfast and lunch Sunday, and coffee and pastries. We cannot provide financial support for travel but will negotiate good conditions for stays at downtown Rochester hotels, which are 1-5 minutes from the Mayo Campus.
This is an inclusive meeting. We are e-mailing this announcement to the participants of previous measles virus mini-symposia and ask them to forward it to colleagues who may be interested. Please let us have your e-mail contacts for inclusion in the distribution list if you receive this invitation indirectly.
The final announcement including registration and abstract forms, travel and hotel information will be sent in February 2026. Abstracts are due May 15, 2026. Looking forward to welcoming you in Rochester in July.
